Drywall installation, repairs, textures, Level 4 and Level 5 finishing—planned carefully, finished cleanly, and built around the final look your project demands.
Drywall is more than hanging panels. Framing conditions, board selection, fastening, joint treatment, drying time, sanding, lighting, primer and the final decoration all affect the result.
Thassos Design provides complete drywall scopes for custom homes, remodels, additions, retail spaces, offices and repairs throughout Southwest Florida. We evaluate the space and intended finish before recommending Level 4, Level 5 or a texture system.

Layout coordination, panel hanging, fastening, openings, corners and preparation for the specified finish.
Get an estimate →Taping, joint compound application, corner treatment, sanding and surface preparation for paint or texture.
Compare finishes →Holes, cracks, ceiling damage, removed fixtures, localized replacement and texture blending.
Request repair →A widely specified finish for many painted interiors and for surfaces receiving appropriate textures or wallcoverings.
Learn more →A Level 4 base plus a skim coat over the entire surface to improve uniformity under demanding lighting and decorative finishes.
Learn more →Orange peel, knockdown, skip trowel and texture matching, selected to fit the architecture and desired maintenance.
View textures →Interior walls, soffits, drops and architectural details built according to the approved scope and project requirements.
Discuss plans →Tenant improvements, retail, offices and other commercial interiors with scheduling and trade coordination.
Commercial work →The right finish should be decided with the final decoration and lighting conditions in mind.
Joint tape is embedded; joints, interior angles, fastener heads and accessories receive the required additional compound coats and are left smooth and free of tool marks and ridges.
A Level 4 surface receives a thin skim coat of joint compound or an approved equivalent treatment across the entire surface before proper priming and decoration.
Professional note: Level 5 describes gypsum-panel surface treatment—not the complete paint system and not a guarantee of perfection under every lighting condition. We review expectations, sheen, natural light and artificial light before finalizing the scope.
Use two photographs taken from the same position for the strongest comparison.

Texture changes how a surface reflects light and can help visually soften minor surface variation. Existing texture matching requires an onsite sample and may remain perceptible because age, paint buildup and application technique vary.
A fine-to-medium sprayed pattern with a subtle, consistent appearance.
Sprayed texture flattened at the correct stage to create a broader, broken pattern.
A hand-applied finish with movement and variation created by the applicator.
A clean modern surface where substrate preparation and finish level become especially important.
We review plans or field conditions, access, ceiling heights, existing finishes, lighting and the desired result.
Your proposal identifies included areas, installation or repair scope, finish level, texture, exclusions and next steps.
We plan material handling, protect adjacent surfaces and confirm that preceding work is ready for drywall.
Panels and accessories are installed for the specified system, with necessary project and manufacturer requirements followed.
Joint treatment is built in controlled coats, allowed to dry appropriately, and sanded or skimmed for the selected finish.
Surfaces are reviewed under agreed conditions, touchups are completed, and the area is prepared for primer and final decoration.

Ask a Different QuestionLevel 4 includes the specified tape and joint-compound treatment over joints, interior angles, fasteners and accessories. Level 5 begins with a Level 4 surface and adds a thin skim coat or approved equivalent treatment across the entire gypsum-panel surface. Level 5 improves surface uniformity under demanding lighting and decorative conditions.
Usually not. The decision depends on lighting, paint sheen, wall location, architecture and the expected appearance. Many spaces perform well with Level 4 and a properly selected primer and paint system. Level 5 is commonly considered for severe side lighting, smooth high-value spaces and certain non-flat paint finishes.
We can create samples and blend many common textures, but an invisible match cannot be guaranteed. Existing texture varies with the original applicator, equipment, material, paint buildup, repairs and age. A larger blend area often produces a better visual transition.
Timing depends on square footage, ceiling height, access, finish level, number of details, drying conditions and coordination with other trades. Small repairs may take one or several visits; complete homes require a project-specific schedule. We provide a practical timeline after reviewing the scope.
Board selection must follow the approved assembly, applicable code, manufacturer instructions and the actual exposure. Moisture- or mold-resistant gypsum panels may be appropriate in certain locations, but gypsum products are not substitutes for required tile backer, waterproofing or assemblies designed for direct water exposure.
No. The moisture source must be stopped first. The amount of water, duration, contamination, panel condition and possible concealed damage determine whether localized repair or removal is appropriate. Suspected microbial growth or contaminated water may require a qualified remediation professional before drywall replacement.
Yes. Thassos Design handles new construction, additions, remodels, tenant improvements and targeted repairs. Send plans, a scope sheet or photos so we can identify the appropriate next step.
Pricing changes with project size, board type and thickness, ceiling height, access, framing readiness, finish level, texture, protection, debris handling and schedule. A low per-sheet number is not a complete comparison unless every contractor is pricing the same scope.
A finish level describes treatment of the gypsum-panel surface. Primer and painting should be identified separately in the proposal unless explicitly included. Proper drywall primer helps equalize absorption between face paper, joint compound and skim-coated areas before decoration.
Send the project address, room or building type, approximate dimensions, ceiling heights, photos, plans if available, desired finish or texture, current project stage and target schedule. For repairs, include both close-up and wide-angle photos.
Tell us where the project is, what stage it is in, and what result you expect. Photos and plans help us respond more accurately.
